The world’s most pressing and complex challenges defy singular analytical interpretation. Being a public, urban institution with a world class creative writing, classics, criminal justice, and academic health center; highly ranked performing & creative art and design colleges; interdisciplinary excellence in sensors, water, advanced transportation, and big data/analytics research, and emerging areas of research strength in robotics, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, UC faculty are uniquely positioned to team up to confront societal challenges with creativity and scholarly rigor.
This multi-track program provides financial support for team-based research. The Strategic Teams track, formerly the Strategic Collaborative Grant Program, is for established teams in the intermediate or advanced stage of research. Proposal submission instructions can be found here: Track 2 Proposal Submission Instructions
