The Human Research Protection Program provides training and support for research involving human subjects including Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and FDA submissions and supports the IRB.

Board Members Needed to Help Review Human Subject Research

The following are needed:

  • Minor/Child Representatives
  • Prisoner Representatives
  • Hematology Oncology
  • Community/Unaffiliated
  • All Medical Specialties

Volunteer Requirements

  • Agree to serve for at least 3 years
  • Review 2-5 research projects per month
  • Attend at least 2 board meetingsper month
  • Good computer skills

Volunteer Benefits

  • Experience reviewing medical, social and behavioral research
  • Help provide representation for the thoughts and local concerns of the community
  • Opportunity to network with the research community
