Welcome to the University of Cincinnati’s Animal Care and Use Program (ACUP).  This program encompasses Laboratory Animal Services (LAMS) and the Institutional Care and Use Committee (IACUC) office.  We are committed to facilitating research and also providing the highest quality animal care. Our program is fully AAALAC accredited and you can view our last USDA inspection report here.

Our ACUP offices oversee all activities conducted by or at the university that have a direct impact on animals which includes animal and veterinary care, policies and procedures, personnel and program management and oversight, occupational health and safety, IACUC functions, and animal facility design and management.  We strive to support scientific advancement and teaching while maintaining full compliance.
