UC’s Office of Research is now accepting applications for the AY24-25 Michelman Green, Clean, and Sustainable Technology Research Innovation Program. Supported by the Dr. John S. Michelman Fund for the Advancement of Sustainable Technology, this program provides seed funding for applied research with real-world environmental impact
The program supports projects aimed at advancing environmental health, stewardship, and sustainability through marketable scientific and technical innovations. UC faculty are encouraged to apply, with multi-disciplinary teams particularly welcome. Successful applicants will receive funding to develop their ideas into innovative solutions that address critical issues in Green- and Clean-tech fields such as:

Grants of up to $35,000 are available for single investigators, and multi-investigator teams can receive up to $80,000, with a 24-month project timeline. The application process involves an initial Letter of Intent, followed by full proposals from selected finalists.
