The Cooperative Grants Office (CGO) provides sponsored research proposal and contract development services to the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the College of Arts & Sciences. The CGO’s experts collaborate with faculty to offer proposal compliance, development, and budget support, ensuring all proposals meet the standards set forth by colleges, the University, and sponsors as well as state and federal guidelines.
CGO staff serve as Authorized Organization Representatives (AORs) for the University on pre-award submissions. Faculty must engage with the CGO and receive AOR approval to submit any proposal that is intended to be a sponsored research project. Our goal is to ensure the success of the University’s research mission through providing outstanding faculty support, ensuring compliance, and maintaining expertise in the changing funded research landscape.
