In an effort to improve efficiency, the UC Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) is rolling out a new process to collect and report financial relationships related to study sponsors. HRPP has developed a new fillable PDF financial disclosure form that can easily be completed and signed using electronic signature.
If study personnel do not disclose a financial relationship related to the study sponsor, the disclosure form will be kept on file in the study team’s records for each applicable study but not uploaded to the Research Administration Portal (RAP). HRPP will review research records as part of quality assurance assessments. Only positive responses on the form will be uploaded to RAP for HRPP review. Research teams will document negative and positive responses for key personnel in the RAP ManageCOI activity.
For research teams using ComplionTM, key personnel will complete the disclosure statement in Complion and provide electronic signature. Researchers with a financial relationship that needs to be disclosed will complete the new fillable PDF financial disclosure form which will then be uploaded into RAP for HRPP review. All research teams will document negative and positive responses for key personnel in the RAP ManageCOI activity.
