Research Technologies
The Office of Research’s Advanced Research Technologies units provide the critical infrastructure the next generation of computational and data science researchers require. Office of Research RT units are also actively developing a highly competitive workforce through educating, employing, supporting, and collaborating students, staff, and faculty across the research enterprise and beyond. Research tools under development include next-generation linked research information systems used for discovery and analysis of scholarly, economic and broader impacts of research@UC; the Advanced Research Computing (ARC) center which offers a readily accessible hybrid CPU/GPU computing cluster; and the Center for Simulations & Virtual Environments Research (UCSIM) that is driving scientific discovery, innovation, and new learning capabilities with immersive technologies.
