Office of Research strategic initiatives are major investments in faculty, students, and research infrastructure. Our annual internal funding program is a $1.2m investment in our top talent. Digitial Futures is UC’s $100m investment in interdisciplinary research. Both a 180,000 square foot research facility and research program, Digital Futures brings top talent from around UC together so to drive moonshot thinking and high-risk, high reward research. Urban Futures is a foundational initiative of the University of Cincinnati’s Strategic Direction, next lives here, and a major pillar of Research2030, UC’s 10-year strategic plan for research. Three verticals, funded on an annual basis at the $250k level, comprise the Urban Futures initiative: The Community Change Collaborative (C3); the Non-Profit Leadership Program (NPLP); and Sustainability@UC.
